Meet the people behind FlowGrow

FlowGrow is a small New Zealand family business, built from a genuine curiosity about growing food at home.

It didn't start with a business plan. It started with a hydroponic tower, a spare corner of the house, and no real idea what to expect.

Then it took hold.

Plants changing from one day to the next. A few failures. The small surprise of picking something you grew yourself and eating it minutes later.

Along the way, we noticed something.

So many people want to grow their own food, but everyday life doesn't always leave room for it. Not everyone has a backyard. Not everyone has the time, or feels ready to start a garden from scratch.

The more we grew, the more we felt it shouldn't be that way. Growing should fit around your life, not ask you to rearrange it.

That idea became FlowGrow.

A way to bring growing closer to where people already live, cook, and gather. A way to show you don't need a big garden, or years of experience, to start.

We learned by growing

Watching roots develop in water instead of soil changed how we saw the whole thing. Growing didn't need soil, or space, or a shed full of gear. It needed light, water, and a bit of attention.

Most of what we know now, the plants taught us. Which ones raced ahead. Which ones took their time. What a tower actually needs to sit happily in a sunny kitchen or a lounge.

None of it happened in a lab or a commercial greenhouse. It happened in a real home, with a real tower, and a lot of checking just to see what had changed overnight.
